Little Italy Hosts Feast of San Gennaro

 


Following up the wildly popular bi-coastal Little Italy community event put on by Uplander TDavis, he is at it again with another Little Italy event.  It's clear why he is the unofficial mayor of Little Italy.  There is obviously a love of the neighborhood that nobody can deny.

TDavis was gracious enough to talk with me again about his upcoming event and I got all the details.  This event is focused on the NY crowd and will be for anyone that is a fan of Little Italy.  Taking the metaverse message to heart he is hosting the Feast of San Gennaro, and just like the real life feast he is including the whole neighborhood with a big focus on Mulberry St.  

So if you are in NY, get yourself down to Mulberry and get in on the festival.  If you are out of town but are a huge NFT lover, you are going to have to make the tough decision if you are going to make the flight over to pick one up.  Maybe you were going to head to NY soon to do a little shopping anyway and this is just the excuse you needed.

Tomorrow, September 19th, is the annual “Feast of San Gennaro” in Little Italy! 

To commemorate the inaugural celebration in Upland, I am distributing the second NFT in the Little Italy series! Like its predecessor, NFT #2 will be minted in two rarities: Gold (max 20) and Common (max 50).

If you own a property on Mulberry Street in Little Italy (any property with “Mulberry” as the street name, between Little Italy’s border of Houston Street and Grand Street), send me via DM:

Upland NFT Mining

What is Upland NFT Mining? Upland Comics & Collectibles  is excited to partner with CryptomonKeys and MetaForce Comics to bring NFT mining to Upland.  But what exactly does that mean?  Is this a game mechanic produced by the Upland team?  No, this is not provided by Upland, but you do need to be in the Upland game to participate.  Upland has not at any time promised NFT giveaways or direct peer to peer gifting in app and it doesn't appear anywhere on their roadmap.  As they have an exciting and ever growing set of future mechanics available though, it very well may be a possibility.  But, until such time that they do, Upland Comics has decided to go for it themselves. Highlights of Spud and the Minting Challenge

I saw a lot of people confused by the recent minting challenge, so I decided to pick out some highlights from the recent Upland Medium article . All points are from the Medium article unless otherwise noted.  Note: We still don't know all of the details. I'll update as more is released.  Spud Property development will be driven by Spark (which is a token). However, the sandbox (which will allow players to play with the property development interface) will use a temporary resource we’re calling “Spud”. During the sandbox competitions, Spud will be used to build properties. All players of Uplander status and above will receive Spud when it is distributed. Spud will have no direct utility beyond these sandbox competitions.
