BEN68 Haunted Halloween Competitions


Uplander Ben68 is putting on a series of exciting and interesting competitions for Halloween.  Not only does he have a house on the spooky video tour he also has a writing contest.  Collect those sends up, and get your creative juices flowing for that story writing.  All the details are below and you have options of which contests you enter.  So pick your favorite or jump into both.


Haunted House Raffle



- Enter to win an exclusive position in the upcoming FIAT out BETA, as well as UPX prizes in two haunted house raffles.

- Every player who visits the haunted house at 935 Hayes Street in Alamo Square and views the attached video experience will go into the running for one of two potential prizes in the Haunted House Raffle.  You prize will be determined based on your Upland Status.  Visitor fee will be 100UPX. All fees go towards the prizes.

- The more times you visit until the close of the community haunted houses experiences (Nov 1st at 6am PT), the more tickets you’ll have in the draws.  There is no limit to entries.

- Prize for Pros, Director or Executive status

    - Win BEN68's exclusive position in the upcoming Fiat out closed beta.

- Prize for Visitor or Uplander status

    - 1st prize = 12,000 UPX or 50% of fees (whichever is greater)

    - 2nd prize = 8,000 UPX or 30% of fees (whichever is greater)

    - 3rd prize = 4,000 UPX or 20% of fees (whichever is greater)


Short Story Competition


Open only to Uplanders who only own property in Fresno.  Right any short story that features the Number 68.  The story must not be more than 500 words.  Send your entries via DM in Discord to BEN68.

Upland NFT Mining

What is Upland NFT Mining? Upland Comics & Collectibles  is excited to partner with CryptomonKeys and MetaForce Comics to bring NFT mining to Upland.  But what exactly does that mean?  Is this a game mechanic produced by the Upland team?  No, this is not provided by Upland, but you do need to be in the Upland game to participate.  Upland has not at any time promised NFT giveaways or direct peer to peer gifting in app and it doesn't appear anywhere on their roadmap.  As they have an exciting and ever growing set of future mechanics available though, it very well may be a possibility.  But, until such time that they do, Upland Comics has decided to go for it themselves. Highlights of Spud and the Minting Challenge

I saw a lot of people confused by the recent minting challenge, so I decided to pick out some highlights from the recent Upland Medium article . All points are from the Medium article unless otherwise noted.  Note: We still don't know all of the details. I'll update as more is released.  Spud Property development will be driven by Spark (which is a token). However, the sandbox (which will allow players to play with the property development interface) will use a temporary resource we’re calling “Spud”. During the sandbox competitions, Spud will be used to build properties. All players of Uplander status and above will receive Spud when it is distributed. Spud will have no direct utility beyond these sandbox competitions.
