Upland Uncovered Embraces the Metaverse

 


For Upland Uncovered one of the most exciting things about Upland has been it's intention to blur the lines between the real world and the Upland Metaverse.  Upland wants to create a place where you don't have to exist in one world or another, but where the line between the two become almost indistinguishable.  This presents an exciting opportunity for connection with community through a variety of mediums.  You can connect in the Metaverse, on Discord, on Telegram, through Twitter, Youtube, Hyprr and any other medium that is available.

Upland Uncovered has decided to embrace the idea of the metaverse.  Exist and produce work within both the Upland Metaverse and the real world.  The first step to doing this is to pick a location for our offices in Upland.  We are proud to have selected 821 Fillmore Street in Alamo Square for our home office.

In addition to having an office location in Upland, we want to engage and support the community in which we will be working each day.  We want to continue bring value in the real world as we always have with our social media contributions and Upland inspired articles.  But we also want to bring value to Uplanders and the exist in Upland.  That's why today we are happy to announce our community initiative to provide an Upland Business Directory, or if you like, the Upland Yellow Pages.  This will be a place to get your business listed and for others to search you out to find your services.  To be listed in the directory simply contact Upland Uncovered and ask for the business listing form.

In addition Upland Uncovered will be offering a host of other services to Uplanders.  You can find these services on our new Upland Uncovered Services page.  We plan to help Uplanders to advertise, promote and grow their business in the metaverse and in the real world with our business development and marketing tools.

Finally Upland Uncovered is announcing it's metaverse partner company Upland Comics & Collectibles.  Upland Comics will be your one stop shop for all things NFT related in the Upland Metaverse and the real world.  Upland Comics has stocked up with a wide variety of both Upland inspired NFTs and other NFTs on the WAX blockchain.  They will have galleries across the San Francisco area and will help you complete your collections or decorate your homes.  They will be available for proxy shopping in the blockchain world and bringing those collectibles to Upland for your use.  Also they will be able to provide gallery space to up and comers that want a place to show off but don't own a gallery of their own.  To learn more about Upland Comics check out their webpage.

Upland NFT Mining

What is Upland NFT Mining? Upland Comics & Collectibles  is excited to partner with CryptomonKeys and MetaForce Comics to bring NFT mining to Upland.  But what exactly does that mean?  Is this a game mechanic produced by the Upland team?  No, this is not provided by Upland, but you do need to be in the Upland game to participate.  Upland has not at any time promised NFT giveaways or direct peer to peer gifting in app and it doesn't appear anywhere on their roadmap.  As they have an exciting and ever growing set of future mechanics available though, it very well may be a possibility.  But, until such time that they do, Upland Comics has decided to go for it themselves. Highlights of Spud and the Minting Challenge

I saw a lot of people confused by the recent minting challenge, so I decided to pick out some highlights from the recent Upland Medium article . All points are from the Medium article unless otherwise noted.  Note: We still don't know all of the details. I'll update as more is released.  Spud Property development will be driven by Spark (which is a token). However, the sandbox (which will allow players to play with the property development interface) will use a temporary resource we’re calling “Spud”. During the sandbox competitions, Spud will be used to build properties. All players of Uplander status and above will receive Spud when it is distributed. Spud will have no direct utility beyond these sandbox competitions.
